Job summary

Excellus Health Plan Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Outreach Coordinator to support pharmacy programs that drive revenue, lower drug spend, and improve member outcomes. The role involves outreach to providers, members, and pharmacies, plus data-driven analysis to guide program decisions.

Responsibilities include coordinating outreach, handling claims data, and delivering weekly updates. This position may offer remote work on a case-by-case basis and requires strong communication and privacy

Qualifications

High school education required with at least two years in a health-related field.
Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) strongly preferred.
Experience in a doctor’s office, hospital, infusion center, pharmacy, or customer service strongly preferred.
Strong communication skills are necessary including written, verbal and telephone.
Awareness of prescription and medical benefits is helpful for outreach and program decisions.

Responsibilities

Perform administrative tasks supporting pharmacy programs and projects.
Conduct provider, member, and pharmacy outreach related to clinical programs.
Analyze financial progress reports and prioritize tasks to meet stakeholder expectations.
Serve as an outpatient medication access point for members locally and outside the service area.
Provide weekly updates to the supervisor on work assignments and outreach outcomes.
Lead training for new coordinators on program goals and procedures.
