Job summary

Rush University Medical Center is seeking a Medication and Pharmacy Data Analytics Specialist to turn complex healthcare data into actionable insights that drive clinical and operational decisions across the pharmacy enterprise.

You will collaborate with Pharmacy Operations, Pharmacy Informatics, Knowledge Management and IT teams to design analytics solutions, build data integrations, and create dashboards that uncover trends to improve patient outcomes and operational performance within a

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information science, computer science or related field.
3 years of data analysis, query design, and reporting experience.
Experience with Tableau, MS SQL Server and Oracle.
Experience with reports, dashboards, scorecards using SSRS/SSAS/MDX in a data warehousing environment.
Strong analytical, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
Relational databases and data quality understanding.
Excellent written and verbal communication, and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

Produces deliverables for leadership and communicates with stakeholders.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to implement and refine workflows with pharmaceutical data.
Improve pharmacy-related IT systems, and use data to enhance safety and decision-making.
Gather requirements and design data definitions, rules and data quality requirements.
Design and maintain databases storing pharmaceutical, clinical, and operational data.
Integrate data from various sources (EHRs, pharmacy systems) to optimize decision making.
Create forecasts, dashboards, and ad hoc reports; interpret data to provide actionable insights.
Build and maintain systems to process and transform data into analytics.
