Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an Informatics Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner to serve as a lead informatics resource for the National Telepharmacogenomics Program (NTPGx) and the broader National Pharmacogenomics Program (NPP) - working at the highest level of clinical informatics.

This national program position supports NPP sites and veterans located across the VA system. This role focuses on precision medicine initiatives and systems management in alignment with the VHA

Qualifications

• Requires U.S. citizenship or eligible for VA grandfathering
• English language proficiency
• Pharmacist license in a U.S. state
• Graduate of an ACPE‑accredited college/school of pharmacy (BS Pharmacy or Pharm.D.)
• One year of experience equivalent to next lower grade (GS‑12)
• Clinical PGx practice experience preferred with autonomous decision making
• Formal training in pharmacogenomics or PGx practice preferred
• Hands‑on clinical informatics experience in data extraction, modeling, or dashboards

Responsibilities

• Provide expert pharmacogenomic review and interpretation of PGx tests for VA patients
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI, Report Builder, SSRS/SSAS/DAX
• Support population health initiatives and PGx consultation across NPP/NTPGx
• Collaborate with clinical and informatics teams to optimize EHR/clinical workflows
• Ensure data accuracy, governance, and effective data visualization for stakeholders
