Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Remote Pharmacist to support multiple hospitals from a home-based position, reviewing orders, intervening when needed, and ensuring compliant patient care across facilities.

The role uses clinical systems to manage medication orders, verify dosing, and respond to drug information requests. Licensure and at least 1 year of supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from a US-accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Licensed in good standing by the State Pharmacy Board.

Responsibilities

• Obtains census and confirmed admissions from Virtual Admission Board (VAB) for each facility.
• Uses PowerChart and PharmNet to enter, verify and manage medication orders.
• Reviews alerts for drug interactions, allergies, dosing issues and renal dosing; resolves issues.
• Documents clinical interventions and communicates with hospital pharmacists.
• Ensures formulary compliance and cost-effective medication recommendations when asked by physicians.
• Maintains HIPAA-compliant handling of protected health information.
