Job summary

The Personal Lines Producer at Joseph Fowler & Associates is responsible for maintaining profitable relationships with personal lines clients and growing the book of business through advisory sales to existing clients and qualified leads.

This role requires identifying opportunities, presenting policies, maintaining client communications, renewing and retaining accounts, and collaborating with the team to achieve sales targets while staying compliant and up-to-date with industry changes.

Qualifications

• Must have state insurance license and 2+ years in personal/commercial lines account management with a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Knowledge of insurance products, rating, underwriting, coverages, and industry operations.
• Proven B2B sales success with strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills and the ability to close.
• People-oriented, customer-focused, and professionally assertive in developing new client relationships and servicing existing clients.
• Excellent time management, team-oriented, and proficient written and verbal communication; tech savvy with agency management systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with new and existing clients in person, online, by phone, and through written communication.
• Foster and maintain relationships with clients and prospects through follow-up, accurate quotations, and general account support.
• Actively prospect round accounts, solicit increases in coverage, and network for new clients, including win backs.
• Obtain best coverage/rate for insured, process quotes, and bind coverage; present policies and educate on coverages and rates.
• Foster and maintain relationships with customers and prospects through regular follow-up and timely quotations.
• Support and prepare clients for renewal and retention, and maintain strong client relationships.
• Monitor, review, and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved; document activities clearly.
• Collaborate with team members, mentor staff, participate in meetings, and keep knowledge up-to-date.
