Confidential Employer, a boutique litigation firm, seeks an attorney to independently manage civil litigation matters with a remote schedule and occasional NYC-area travel for court appearances and depositions.

Candidates must have 3+ years of attorney experience and hold active New York and New Jersey bar admissions. The role offers ownership of cases and exposure to complex matters in personal injury, premises liability, and product liability, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of attorney experience.
• Active New York and New Jersey bar admission required.
• Meaningful civil litigation experience.
• Ability to independently manage litigation files and deadlines.
• Strong writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage civil litigation matters from initial evaluation through resolution or trial.
• Develop case strategy, analyze liability and damages, and provide practical recommendations to clients.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, reports, and other substantive legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and negotiations.
• Work directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and insurance professionals.
• Handle defense matters involving general liability, personal injury, catastrophic injury, transportation, premises liability, product liability, and related disputes.
• Prepare cases thoroughly for trial while identifying opportunities for efficient and favorable resolution.
• Travel into the NYC metropolitan area as necessary for litigation activities.
