Job summary

Nutrafol, a growing hair wellness company in the United States, seeks an experienced hands‑on personal care formulator to join our Formulation team in Trumbull, CT. This bench‑forward role focuses on leaving‑on and rinse‑off products aimed at scalp health and hair‑strand performance, reporting to the Director of Personal Care R&D Formulation (Topicals).

You will develop proprietary, in‑house formulas, evaluate them against consumer and clinical targets, and shepherd them through scale‑up with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in cosmetic science, chemistry, biology, chemical engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years hands‑on cosmetic/personal care formulation experience.
• Experience formulating across multiple formats (shampoos, conditioners, serums, sprays, masks).

Responsibilities

• Design, benchmark, and optimize proprietary formulations for scalp health and hair strength.
• Coordinate scale‑up with contract manufacturers and ensure formula integrity.
• Support MoCRA compliance, regulatory documentation, and claims substantiation.
• Collaborate with Product Development, QA/RA, Supply Chain, and Marketing.
