Job summary

UVA Health's Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join the Perinatal Mood Clinic. The embedded clinician will provide evidence-based psychotherapy to support mothers during pregnancy and postpartum, with assessments, individual and group therapy, psychoeducation, and care coordination.

This is a full-time virtual position with ambulatory therapy visits, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Virginia LCSW license or eligible within 18 months of hire.
• Minimum 3 years post-master’s experience in clinical therapy.

Responsibilities

• Documents patient care in accordance with UVA University Medical Center policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participates in treatment planning, care coordination, and advocates for patient preferences within the interdisciplinary team.
• Completes biopsychosocial assessments, diagnosis, and development of culturally competent, individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Assists with treatment program development, as needed.
