Job summary

The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join the interdisciplinary Perinatal Mood Clinic.

The LCSW/LPC will provide evidence-based psychotherapy, assessments, individual and group therapy, psychoeducation, and care coordination for mothers during pregnancy and postpartum in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• 3 years of post-master’s clinical experience.
• Virginia LCSW license or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop culturally competent, individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group psychotherapy for perinatal mood disorders.
• Participate in treatment planning, care coordination, and advocate for patient preferences within the team.
• Assist with program development and leadership as needed.
