Job summary

Children's Hospital Los Angeles is seeking a Trauma Registrar to support the pediatric trauma program from a remote location with CA residency required before start. The role collects, codes and analyzes trauma data for TEMIS and contributes to quality improvement and research.

You will enter data, perform ICD-10 coding, AIS scoring and support reports development, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and speed (65 wpm typing) and collaboration with the trauma team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' trauma registry/trauma registrar experience.
• 65 wpm typing speed with accurate data entry.
• ICD-10 coding, AIS scoring and CPT coding coursework completed.
• Knowledge of National Trauma Data Set/Trauma Quality Improvement Program data collection preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and collate trauma patient care data for TEMIS.
• Abstract data from charts and billing records; enter data in standard format.
• Perform ICD-10 coding and AIS scoring on trauma diagnoses.
• Design TEMIS reports for quality improvement and research.
