Job summary

iMPROve Health is seeking a Pediatric Critical Care Physician to provide independent external medical reviews remotely on an ad hoc basis as an independent contractor (1099).

The role requires a medical license in any U.S. state and board certification. Candidates should have at least 5 years of direct clinical care and remain actively engaged in patient care for 20+ hours per week. Work remotely from home or office, with reviews submitted through our IT systems.

Qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state.
• Board Certification by ABMS, AOA, or another recognized board.
• Five (5) years of direct clinical care experience required, with recent practice within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Conduct objective, evidence-based peer reviews of clinical cases.
• Make final determinations regarding medical necessity and quality of care.
• Ensure decisions are fair, unbiased, and aligned with current standards of practice.
• Submit reviews in a timely and professional manner using the IT systems provided.
