Job summary

Children’s Hospital & Medical Center seeks a clinical IT analyst to design, test, implement and maintain hospital and outpatient IT applications. You will research and fix system problems, coordinate with clinics, and translate workflow needs into practical software solutions for end users.

Required is an associate degree in IT/medical field or related, with at least 2 years in IT/healthcare preferred; Epic application experience and EPIC certification within 9 months are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in information technology, medical field, or related area is required or experience may substitute.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, configure, test and maintain Children’s Hospital & Medical Center’s clinical applications to meet department goals and end-user needs.
• Research, analyze and correct system and user problems; document issues and resolutions per department policies.
• Build positive relationships with customers through effective and consistent communication.
• Participate in project teams to define requirements for changes to new and existing systems; propose efficient workflows.
• Translate workflow requirements into effective application solutions; ensure smooth adoption.
• Perform integrated testing of current and new vendor functionality to ensure EMR reliability and integrity.
• Assist with end-user training and development as needed; participate in on-call and monthly maintenance activities.
• Regular attendance and ability to perform physical requirements as described.
