PM Pediatrics Health Care is seeking a licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our Behavioral Health Teletherapy Program. You will provide psychosocial assessments and therapy for pediatric and adolescent patients in a remote, telehealth setting.

Must hold LMHC licensure (NY) and NY Medicaid Provider Number. The role involves conducting assessments, individual/family therapy, and coordinating with the healthcare team, with a caseload of 15–20 weekly.

Qualifications

• Licensed Mental Health Counselor licensure in the state practicing (NY license).
• NY Medicaid Provider Number is required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Understanding of the roles of the healthcare team.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Deep understanding of psychosocial aspects of illness and health.
• Experience with community facilities and discharge planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong crisis intervention skills.
• Excellent short-term counseling skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform psychosocial assessments per evidence-based practices.
• Provide counseling and therapy using evidence-based modalities.
• Demonstrate competency as individual, family, and group therapist.
• Maintain ongoing professional development as required by licensing board.
• Complete documentation including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with patient, family, and team to overcome treatment obstacles.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures and maintain compliance.
• Demonstrate cultural competency and commitment.
• Respond quickly to urgent or emergent needs.
• Maintain caseload of 15–20 patients weekly, minimum 5 daily.
