Job summary

PM Pediatric Care is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker to join our Behavioral Health Program. This opportunity will provide comprehensive behavioral health for common conditions seen in primary care such as depression, anxiety, ADD, and conduct disorders in an extended primary care collaborative model.

The position supports two schedule options (5 days 1:00pm-9:00pm M-F or 4 ten-hour days) with Saturday hours available. Part-time positions = 20 hours/week; benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field.
• Must hold LMSW license in NY or practicing state.
• Experience with pediatric and adolescent patients required.
• Teletherapy experience with children/adolescents preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with discharge planning.
• Knowledge of psychosocial aspects of illness and health.
• Excellent short-term counseling skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform psychosocial assessments that comply with evidence-based practices.
• Provide counseling and therapy for patients using evidence-based modalities.
• Demonstrate competency as individual, family, and group therapist.
• Maintain professional development as required by licensing board.
• Complete required documentation including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with patient, family, and care team to overcome treatment obstacles.
• Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate cultural competency and commitment.
• Respond quickly to urgent or emergent needs.
• Maintain a caseload of 30–35 patients weekly and a minimum of 5 patients daily.

• Providing counseling and therapy for patients using evidence based treatment modalities
• Display competency as an individual, family, and group therapist
• Maintain own professional development as required by licensing board
• Complete required documentation and paperwork, including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning and implementation in a timely manner
• Works closely with patient and family and team to overcome obstacles in treatment
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

Compensation Range: $65,000-$70,000 (dependent upon experience & licensure) - Competitive Medical Benefits Package + PTO offered

The salary/rate range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary/rate for this role. Please note that actual salaries/rates may vary within this range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field required
• Relevant therapist license in the state(s) practicing (LMSW- NY)
• MUST have experience with pediatric and adolescent patients
• Experience providing teletherapy to children and adolescents preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Ability to effectively interact, work, and develop meaningful relationships with people of various cultural backgrounds
• Knowledge of the psychosocial aspects of illness and health
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent short-term counseling skills
• Experience with discharge planning
