Sazerac Company is seeking a Payroll Tax and Compliance Lead to strengthen governance, tax compliance, and controls across a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment. You will own payroll compliance monitoring and tax administration while partnering with HR, Finance, Legal, and external providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, HR, or related field required.
• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience with multi-jurisdictional expertise.
• Experience with Canadian payroll and global payroll compliance.
• Strong knowledge of US federal, state, and local payroll taxation.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll tax administration and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Establish payroll controls, reconciliations, and audit processes.
• Monitor regulatory changes and update systems, policies, and documentation.
• Investigate notices and discrepancies, using root-cause analysis for sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Legal, and external providers to improve processes.
