Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Northwest is seeking a Payroll Operations Manager to lead the daily payroll operations for a large, multi-state organization. You will partner with HR, Finance, Tax, Benefits, Technology, and Compliance to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing.

The role requires extensive Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll experience and a hands-on approach to managing on-cycle and daily payrolls, issue resolution, and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Payroll, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; 6+ years payroll experience or 9+ years related experience.
• Experience leading operational payroll teams and managing large workloads across multiple states.
• Hands-on expertise with Oracle Fusion HCM Payroll and payroll processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day payroll operations for a large multi-state organization and partner with HR, Finance, Tax, Benefits, Technology, and Compliance.
• Oversee payroll runs for on-cycle and daily payrolls; resolve issues and optimize processes.
• Develop talent, coach teams, and drive performance with clear goals and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, union contracts, and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor and improve reporting, data integrity, and process efficiency across systems.
• Represent Payroll in cross-functional initiatives and organizational change.
