Job summary

Concertina Team is seeking a Payroll & Compensation Analyst to own accurate payroll execution and interpret complex variable compensation programs in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of payroll, compensation, or finance operations experience, with hands-on Paylocity experience and familiarity with Certinia and Salesforce. Strong Excel and meticulous controls are essential for successful month-end closes.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of payroll, compensation, finance operations, or accounting experience.
• Direct ownership of complex variable-compensation calculations.
• Hands-on Paylocity experience strongly preferred.
• Certinia (FinancialForce) and Salesforce experience highly valuable.
• Advanced Excel with complex formulas, lookups, and reconciliation.
• Working knowledge of payroll controls and financial reconciliation.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical judgment.
• Independent worker with excellent organization and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end recurring payroll process with controls and timeliness.
• Administer payroll activities in Paylocity including inputs, earnings, and deductions.
• Translate written compensation plans into accurate, repeatable calculations.
• Interpret sales commission structures involving margins and quarterly true-ups.
• Ensure payroll and incentive compensation reconcile to financial records.
• Reconcile payroll registers and compensation calculations with general-ledger activity.
• Provide clear support to Finance leaders and employees on payroll matters.
• Prepare recurring payroll summaries, exception reports, and supporting schedules.
• Document payroll and compensation workflows, decision rules, and controls.
• Handle confidential employee and compensation data with integrity.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Coordinate with Finance and operations leadership on compensation matters.
• Strengthen payroll processes to scale without unnecessary manual effort.
