Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Accountant to join the Finance Department, supporting the North America market. The role requires strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset to ensure accurate payroll and benefits accounting across month-end close.

The position is hybrid (1-2 days in Northeast New Jersey) with a pay range of $45.00/hour to $50.00/hour. Remote work is available, and the role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of general accounting activities and journal entry preparation.
• BS degree in finance or accounting preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP, MS Office Products, and Blackline.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close journal entries, including payroll, benefits accounting, deferred compensation, and EPP.
• Partner with the Payroll team to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting.
• Prepare manual intercompany payroll invoices and review monthly payroll variance reports.
• Investigate and analyze variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate existing processes and propose improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.
