Job summary

You'll design APIs, collaborate across teams, and contribute to on-call rotations for payment-critical systems while advancing best practices and robust infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience building production backend systems in at least one listed language.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, data modeling and transactional consistency.
• Familiarity with payments concepts like PCI compliance, fraud, or financial integrations is a plus.
• Comfort working remotely and coordinating across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services and APIs powering payment flows such as authorization, capture, refunds, and payouts.
• Improve reliability, latency, and correctness of money-movement pipelines handling large transaction volumes.
• Collaborate with infra, security, and product teams to launch new payment methods and markets.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents, including on-call rotations for payment-critical systems.
• Write well-tested code and contribute to engineering best practices.
