Job summary

Allara is seeking a Payer Operations Specialist to serve as subject-matter expert on the credentialing and payer operations team. Remote US-based role that owns speed and accuracy of payer expansion, investigates stalled applications, reviews processes, and ensures SLA execution.

You will document end-to-end SOPs, build quality controls, track enrollment and contracting, and collaborate with RCM and payer strategy teams to push applications through to approval.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in provider enrollment, credentialing, payer contracting, or healthcare administration.
• Experience documenting processes and SOPs.
• Ability to own metrics and report on pipeline throughput.
• Highly independent, proactive; follows up relentlessly and escalates as needed.
• Excellent attention to detail and deadline-driven work.

Responsibilities

• Document and maintain end-to-end SOPs for payer contracting, enrollment, and credentialing workflows.
• Implement quality controls and checkpoints to reduce rework and rejected applications.
• Identify bottlenecks in the expansion pipeline and drive cycle-time improvements.
• Keep enrollment and contracting trackers up to date, flag aging items and delays.
• Follow up with payers via phone, email, and payer portals to confirm receipt and push for approval.
• Collaborate with RCM and payer strategy/business development teams.
• Assist with application submission, as needed.
