Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 3 years of medical office/billing/collections experience with insurance procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer, internet and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience with multiple payor portals is a plus.
• Problem solving: identifies and resolves problems quickly; analyzes information; develops solutions.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance, demographics, and eligibility data in systems.
• Perform insurance verification process.
• Obtain initial and subsequent pre-authorization for services.
• Ensure signatures are obtained on all forms.
• Follow up on authorizations to obtain determinations.
• Process prior authorizations and appeals as necessary.
• Provide customer service support and build relationships with wound care consultants and teammates.
• Schedule oxygen concentrator setup, delivery, and product shipments.
• Medically code and bill for third-party and direct claims.
• Review claims for accuracy before submission.
• Maintain data in GoCanvas and ERP systems.
