The position supports HIPAA-compliant procedures and requires clear documentation of all communications. The role can be performed remotely after an initial training period in Atlanta, GA, with the ability to work onsite as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous verification experience preferred.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize and interpret data.
• Ability to utilize good judgment to problem solve.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to use a computer, related software/programs, and multiple screens.
• Work onsite or remote as needed.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient’s insurance eligibility, benefits and auth requirements via online or phone.
• Calculate and provide Time of Service Estimates.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
• Communicate any insurance changes or trends among team.
• Maintain productivity suitable for the department.
• Document all communications in standardized formats.
• Update data entry errors for clean billing purposes.
• Request clinical/medical records when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
