American Health Imaging is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Verification Specialist. The role focuses on verifying patient eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements, and calculating Time of Service estimates.

The position supports HIPAA-compliant procedures and requires clear documentation of all communications. The role can be performed remotely after an initial training period in Atlanta, GA, with the ability to work onsite as needed.

Qualificações

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for verifying eligibility, benefits, and providing time of service estimates.

This is a remote role after training in Atlanta, GA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Verify patient's insurance eligibility, benefits and auth requirements via online or phone.
• Calculate and provide Time of Service Estimates.
• Demonstrate and apply knowledge of medical terminology, high proficiency of general medical office procedures including HIPAA regulation
• Communicate any insurance changes or trends among team.
• Maintains a level of productivity suitable for the department.
• Clearly document all communications and contacts with providers and personnel in standardized documentation requirements, including proper format.
• Update data entry errors for clean billing purposes.
• Request clinical/medical records when needed.
• Other Duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Licensing/Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience (years and type):

• Previous verification experience preferred.
