Job summary

Providence Swedish Shared Services is seeking an Insurance Claims Processor to remotely manage the preparation, editing and submission of accurate claims to Medicare, Medicaid, L&I, VA, and other payers. You will reconcile runs, verify submissions and resolve payer errors in EPIC and our claims scrubber system.

The role requires medical terminology and coding training and at least 1 year of hospital insurance regulatory billing experience.

Qualifications

• Medical terminology and medical coding training in an accredited school.
• 1 year of experience in hospital insurance regulatory billing, including Medicare, Medicaid and/or L&I.
• Equivalent on-the-job training in a billing role acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit and submit accurate claims to regulatory payers (Medicare, Medicaid, L&I, VA, Crime Victims & Healthy Options).
• Review and resolve billing edits in EPIC and in claims scrubber system.
• Verify accuracy of claims submitted to payers and reconcile claim runs.
