Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a claims specialist to remotely prepare, edit and submit insurance claims to Medicare, Medicaid, L&I, VA, and other payers. You will verify accuracy, resolve edits in EPIC and a claims scrubber system, and help identify recurring errors for process improvements.

The role requires medical terminology or coding training and at least 1 year in hospital regulatory billing; preferred candidates hold a finance/healthcare administration degree and experience with

Qualifications

• Coursework/training in medical terminology or medical coding.
• At least 1 year hospital insurance regulatory billing experience including Medicare/Medicaid/L&I.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, edit and submit insurance claims to regulatory payers (electronic and manual).
• Review and resolve billing edits in EPIC and the claims scrubber system.
• Ensure accuracy of claims and reconciling claim runs; interact with clearinghouses to produce clean claims.
