Job summary

Community Health Systems (CHS) is seeking a Remote Scheduling Specialist to support scheduling across hospitals, clinics, and centralized access centers. You will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring accurate communication of needs to clinical staff and maintaining compliance with organizational policies.

The role requires handling inbound requests, verifying information, and providing timely, professional service to patients, providers, and facility staff.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1-3 years of scheduling/healthcare administration experience.
• 1-3 years in physician/provider scheduling or call center operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments across multiple clinics and hospitals as assigned.
• Answer calls, texts, emails via call center platforms and route to appropriate staff.
• Verify demographics and insurance; document and resolve inquiries from patients.
