Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of healthcare office or strong customer service experience preferred.
• Proficient in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency registrations.
• Completes admissions, discharges and transfers timely when applicable.
• Monitors patient movement in hospital or ambulatory settings.
• Uses EPIC work queue to pre-register scheduled patients.
• Verifies medical necessity per CMS standards and communicates coverage info.
• Accurately enters patient demographics, insurance and financial information.
• Gathers and verifies confidential health and financial information for payment.
• Confirms completeness of the electronic health record and makes changes.
