Job summary

Groups is seeking a Part-Time Substance Use Counselor to lead structured group therapy sessions remotely for Virginia-based members. The schedule is Monday to Thursday, 4pm–8pm EST, with a focus on recovery, harm reduction, and member-centered care.

You will collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches, monitor progress, document outcomes, and contribute to a supportive recovery-oriented environment. A Virginia license and 2+ years of group leadership in SUD are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Virginia licensure (LPC/LCSW/CSAC/LSATP/LMFT) with reciprocity willingness.
• Minimum two years’ experience leading groups in SUD.
• Comfort with EMR and Telehealth.
• Evenings 2–3 per week until 9pm.

Responsibilities

• Lead 6 one-hour group therapy sessions weekly using a structured, evidence-based curriculum.
• Facilitate group discussions using a plug-and-play approach from approved modalities.
• Collaborate with prescribers, care navigators, and recovery coaches.
• Monitor member progress and document outcomes.
• Support a positive, recovery-oriented environment for members.
• Engage in local community outreach to promote Groups’ mission.
