Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks a part-time PMHNP faculty member for the Phoenix campus to teach graduate students in the PMHNP program. The role includes online teaching with on-campus meetings, and cross-campus collaboration with nursing colleagues.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN, PMHNP board certification, and current AZ APRN licensure, with teaching or student coaching experience and involvement in professional activities. Remote location with on-site campus meetings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required (MSN).
• 2 years of direct patient care nursing/medical experience as a practicing nurse practitioner.
• RN license in Arizona or a compact state.
• AZ APRN licensure active and unrestricted.
• Board certified as a PMHNP.
• Active involvement in professional activities (organizations, presentations, research, publications).

Responsibilities

• Student success coaching and remediation.
• Teach load will vary to meet program needs.
• Prepare engaging activities applying content to practice.
• Stay current with trends and developments in PMHNP field.
• Facilitate PMHNP on-campus clinical residency experiences.
