Job summary

Grand Canyon University seeks a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner Faculty Member at the Phoenix campus. You will teach, guide clinical experiences, evaluate student performance, and stay current with nursing education trends in a faith-based university setting.

The role requires a master’s degree (MSN), FNP certification, AZ APRN license, and teaching experience. Expect a 40-hour week with on-campus responsibilities and a 3-course load per semester, plus monthly curriculum meetings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required (MSN); doctoral preferred or pursuing.
• National Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
• APRN Arizona License.
• Two or more years of teaching and/or relevant nursing/medical experience.
• Unencumbered, current RN Licensure in Arizona or a compact state.

Responsibilities

• Teaches one or more subjects within prescribed curriculum to facilitate learning.
• Compiles, administers, and grades examinations.
• Remains current with trends and development in the field.
• Maintain a 3-course load per semester including 50–60 student load.
• 40-hour work week.
• Facilitate 12 on-campus clinical experiences days.
• Attend monthly faculty and program curriculum meetings.
• Student office hours: 16 hours per week (on campus if local and virtual if remote).
