Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• At least three years of payroll or HR experience; municipal payroll experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with public sector payroll systems and post-payroll reporting.

Responsibilities

• Administers bi-weekly payroll using the Tyler Enterprise (MUNIS) system.
• Calculates wage adjustments and updates pay rates and deductions.
• Completes post payroll processing including tax reporting and payments to vendors.
• Reconciles payroll to the general ledger and IMRF reporting.
• Maintains employee records and handles FOIA requests as needed.
