Job summary

Strategic Education, Inc. seeks a part-time Assistant Faculty to support an online undergraduate Accounting course. The role focuses on student engagement, tutoring, grading assistance, and communication with learners, under guidance from lead instructors.

Requires 5+ years in accounting, prior teaching experience, and a Master's in Accounting or MBA with Accounting. CPA preferred. Remote/home-office setup encouraged.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; interacts effectively with faculty, coaches, and learners.
• Demonstrated time management skills and reliability.
• Experience with diverse learning styles and online teaching environments.
• CPA license preferred; active or inactive.
• Master's in Accounting or MBA with Accounting concentration required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze student activity in discussions and assessments and respond accordingly.
• Assist in managing student communications.
• Escalate unique issues to the lead instructor.
• Assist with grading and providing feedback.
• Monitor engagement and recommend strategies to increase participation.
• Provide tutoring, live sessions, or other student support as directed.
• Assist with student outreach and development of supplemental materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
