Job summary

Keystone Experts & Engineers is seeking licensed civil and structural engineers for forensic investigations to determine the cause and origin of site issues, including design and construction defects and weather-related damage. This is a fully remote, part-time, 1099 contracted position.

Ideal candidates will have experience performing site evaluations, field analyses, and assessments of structural systems, with the ability to access roofs and crawl spaces.

Qualifications

• Active PE license required.
• Degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Experience in forensic investigations of site and building issues.
• Ability to access roofs, attics, and crawl spaces.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations to determine causes and contributing factors.
• Evaluate structural or water damage from natural disasters.
• Ensure proper maintenance and construction of affected components.
• Photo document areas of interest and interview witnesses.
• Prepare findings and recommendations for claims or litigation.
