Job summary

Forensic Building Science, Inc. in Saint Paul, MN, is seeking a Part-Time Financial Operations Coordinator to support the Senior Operations Officer with bookkeeping, payroll, billing, reporting and records management.

This role is approximately 20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling and a remote home-office setup. The ideal candidate has at least five years in accounting/financial operations, strength with QuickBooks and Excel, and a keen eye for detail, confidentiality, and timely

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in bookkeeping, accounting administration, financial operations, or similar small-business finance support.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, payment processing, expense tracking, reconciliations, payroll support, and financial recordkeeping.
• Familiarity with GAAP principles and coordination with outside accountants, banks, vendors, and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payment tracking, expense monitoring, and bank deposits.
• Maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and vendor records.
• Prepare weekly cash-flow reports, monthly summaries, and budget support materials.
• Coordinate with external accountants, bookkeepers, tax professionals, and banking contacts.
• Apply GAAP and maintain organized financial information.
