Job summary

Wellness Equity Institute (WEI) is seeking an Executive Director to provide visionary leadership, guiding mission, governance, financial sustainability, and program growth. This part-time, 0.2 FTE role collaborates closely with WEI’s Board to shape strategic direction and outcomes while maintaining accountability.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Public Administration, MBA, or related field.
• Clinical doctoral degree such as MD, DO, NP, or PhD is highly preferred.
• 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience within a nonprofit or healthcare setting.
• Experience designing, implementing, or managing health programs serving marginalized communities.
• Experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets.
• Diverse funding experience: philanthropy, grants, or fee-for-service models.
• Experience coordinating complex systems and mobilizing coalitions.

Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership to advance WEI's mission and reshape health infrastructure.
• Partner with the Board to strengthen governance and report progress toward goals.
• Lead strategic planning for growth and long-term sustainability.
• Drive cross-sector collaborations with public health, healthcare networks, and agencies.
• Oversee pilot programs, TA frameworks, and community health assessments.
• Guide integration of clinics with mobile outreach networks and data systems.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, data security, and program evaluation standards.
• Foster trauma-informed, culturally responsive organizational culture.
• Delegate day-to-day operations while maintaining strategic accountability.
