RectorSeal is seeking a CAD Designer (Part-Time, Remote) to support the engineering team with CAD design, documentation, and BOM work for HVAC products. The role collaborates with design engineers to produce 3D models and production drawings and develops work instructions and product literature.

The ideal candidate has a relevant associate degree or equivalent and at least two years of CAD design experience in manufacturing, with proficiency in SolidWorks and familiarity with ERP BOM processes.

Formación

• Associate's degree or equivalent in drafting/design or related field.
• Minimum two years CAD design experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in parametric 3D CAD modeling and detailed engineering drawings; SolidWorks preferred.
• Experience creating and maintaining BOMs in ERP.
• Strong technical writing for work instructions and product literature.
• Knowledge of sheet metal, tubing, and coil fabrication; GD&T; drawing standards.
• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines; strong communication.

Responsabilidades

• Model and detail sheet metal, tube, and coil components and assemblies for HVAC products using SolidWorks; create and revise production drawings and documentation
• Incorporate redlines, markups, and engineering changes into existing models and drawings, maintaining accuracy and adherence to department standards
• Create and maintain accurate bills of material (BOMs) in the ERP environment for assigned components and assemblies
• Prepare engineering change documentation and supporting files for assigned changes
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, assembly documentation, installation and service literature, and product specification sheets
• Produce wiring diagrams, wire kit documentation, and configuration-driven assembly documentation as assigned
• Partner with design engineers to translate design intent into released documentation, working independently against defined scope and deadlines
• Apply department drawing standards, part numbering conventions, GD&T practices, and revision control procedures consistently across assigned work
• Communicate progress, questions, and completion status to the engineering team on a regular cadence
• Maintain working familiarity with applicable AHRI, UL, ASHRAE, and DOE standards as they affect drawing content and documentation
