Responsibilities

• Publish a weekly hyper-local e-newsletter and events calendar featuring family-friendly events, activities, and programming in your territory at least 45 times per year.
• Write monthly articles on family-friendly content and activities with kids in your community.
• Use social media regularly to connect with your readers and promote local events and attractions.
• Market your Macaroni Kid business to local businesses and organizations, securing advertising partnerships; keep 100% of your advertising revenue.
• Support national and regional advertising campaigns by creating reviews, sharing articles, and posting content on your social channels, featuring brands like Disney, Mattel, and American Girl.
• Attend our New Publisher Training Webinar, complete the curriculum within three months, and participate in ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write engaging articles and provide accurate reviews. A writing sample is required.
• Active engagement in the local kid and family community, such as parenting groups, online forums, or following local blogs and activity websites. Local bloggers or influencers are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to take quality photos and videos, with basic editing skills.
• Comfortable using social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and access to a PC or Mac.
• Community-oriented with strong collaboration and communication skills for working with local business owners and neighboring publishers.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, positive attitude, and willingness to learn new skills.
