Job summary

Des Moines Area Community College invites applications for an Adjunct Paralegal Instructor to teach PRL 167: Probate Procedure Paralegals for Spring Semester 2027. The campus is remote/online, with Mondays 6:00pm–9:00pm sessions and the position supports online delivery through DMACC's LMS.

Required credentials include a Juris Doctor degree and at least two years of licensed attorney experience; teaching experience is preferred and estate administration expertise is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Juris Doctor degree.
• Bar admission as a licensed attorney is required.
• Teaching experience is desired.
• Two or more years of professional law practice experience as a licensed attorney.
• Estate administration experience including probating estates and drafting wills and trusts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaches PRL 167: Probate Procedure Paralegals, Spring Semester 2027, in a synchronous online format.
• Develops and uses varied instructional strategies to meet diverse learning styles.
• Communicates course requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance policies.
• Monitors student attendance, progress, and competency attainment.
