Job summary

The Outreach Team is seeking a part-time Legal Associate to provide contract drafting, review, and basic legal research support. This flexible hourly role is ideal for a paralegal-level professional who can work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with the team to ensure compliance.

The position offers an hourly pay range of $38–$44, plus a $50 monthly cell phone stipend. We emphasize equity and remote-friendly arrangements, with a focus on task-based work and minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or associate degree in paralegal studies, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in a legal support role (paralegal, legal assistant, or similar).
• Strong understanding of contract principles and legal terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable internet connection and appropriate workspace for remote work.
• Experience working in remote/flexible work arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Contract Drafting: Prepare and draft various types of contracts, agreements, and legal documents based on provided templates and guidelines.
• Contract Review: Review incoming contracts from third parties, identify key terms and potential issues, and propose specific language changes or amendments.
• Legal Research: Conduct straightforward legal research on relevant topics and statutes regulations.
• Document Management: Organize, maintain, and track legal documents and contracts in an orderly system.
• Administrative Support: Provide general legal administrative support to the team, including correspondence, filing, and documentation.
• Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members regarding contract status, findings, and recommendations.
