Job summary

ESPO Corporation invites an Application Development Manager for the Flexibles Division. This Remote role serves as the primary technical liaison between customers and ESPO, guiding development and technical service across assigned markets and accounts.

You will lead new packaging structures, pilot and production trials, translate customer needs into ESPO specifications, and align the portfolio with business priorities. Travel up to 40% domestically and internationally as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Food Science, Packaging, or Plastics related field.
• 5–10 years of packaging development experience for condiments, dairy, produce, chilled, and liquid applications.
• Strong material science knowledge in films and laminations (OPP, PET, PE, Nylon, paper, foil).

Responsibilities

• Identify and commercialize flexible packaging opportunities with the Commercial Team.
• Lead technical activities to expand sales, develop new packaging structures, drive cost savings, and improve product performance.
• Build and maintain strong technical customer relations and translate requirements into ESPO specifications.
• Develop manufacturing instructions and coordinate pilot, production, and filling trials.
• Publish trial reports and manage projects with cross-functional resources.
• Travel domestically and internationally to plants, suppliers, customers, conferences and partners.
