Job summary

Humata Health is seeking a Prior Authorization Workflow Consultant to optimize hospital PA processes across Epic workflows and payer portals. You will review existing automations, map future-state workflows, and drive data-informed decisions for a touchless PA solution.

The role involves implementing operational playbooks, coordinating with hospital staff, and traveling up to 25% for on-site sessions while supporting post-go-live stabilization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on Prior Authorization experience.
• Familiarity with healthcare operations and revenue cycle workflows.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to synthesize large data sets.
• Experience with Epic referrals, work queues, and coverage.
• Proficiency in PowerBI, Excel, SQL is preferred.
• Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational workstream deliverables for customer implementations, including discovery and data collection.
• Proactively manage all operational workstream tasks of the implementation project plan.
• Collaborate with the implementation team to provide visibility into progress and risks.
• Conduct workflow shadowing sessions to understand processes and identify risks.
• Document operational workflows in design workbooks and review payer/plan mix.
• Suggest automation workflow recommendations and map future-state processes.
• Coordinate post go-live stabilization and maintenance of PA automations.
• Validate payer portal credentials and participate in testing and go-live activities.
