Gainwell Technologies is seeking a Prior Authorization Pharmacist to review clinical documentation and the Preferred Drug List to determine proper medication therapy. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop strategies for Utilization Management and support the PA program's clinical integrity.

You will engage in peer discussions, perform clinical reviews, and drive continuous quality improvements while supporting the PA department and clinical call centers.

Formación

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy with relevant specialty experience.
• Registered Pharmacist with active state licensure.
• Four years of experience in clinical pharmacy.
• Experience coordinating and collaborating with work teams preferred.
• Ability to perform clinical reviews using relevant compendia and clinical trial data.
• Managed care pharmaceutical services experience is a plus.
• Strong research and implementation skills in practical settings.
• Analytical skills with the ability to translate findings into practical and pragmatic recommendations.
• Strong team orientation and respect for all team members.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and the ability to quickly learn proprietary systems.

Responsabilidades

• Clinical evaluation of medication therapy.
• Review Prior Authorization requests using the PDL criteria.
• Peer-to-Peer discussions with Medical providers on PA reviews.
• Consultations/interventions with prescribers for outlier prescribing practices.
• Refinement of consultation scripting with input from stakeholders.
• Support for Clinical Call Centers and PA department operations.
• Contribute to quality improvement and program enhancements.
• Collaborate with Medical Directors and Clinical Pharmacists to ensure clinical integrity.
