Job summary

Ellie Mental Health in Cranford, NJ is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to join a mission-driven team delivering accessible mental health care. You will evaluate diagnoses, develop treatment plans, and document sessions while collaborating with a dynamic team to close care gaps in our community.

Qualified candidates hold a master’s degree in behavioral sciences and NJ licensure (LAC/LPC, LCSW, CADC, etc.), with strong written and verbal skills, and experience with DAs, plans, and notes.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in behavioral sciences or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Clinical licensure in New Jersey (LAC/LPC, LSW/LCSW, CADC/LCADC, etc.) is preferred.
• Experience with completing DAs, treatment plans and clinical case notes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients.
• Ability to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents in a timely manner.
• Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base.
• Proficient in Office 365 and EHR systems (Valant a plus).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate mental health diagnoses, create and implement a treatment plan, complete ongoing documentation according to policy.
• Provide excellent customer service for clients and collaborate with a dynamic team.
• Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve goals.
• Prepare and submit individual documentation for each session.
• Maintain a caseload of at least 25 client visits per week for full-time staff.
• Coordinate services with case managers, families, and other Ellie staff.
• Attend clinical staff meetings and trainings.
• Participate in community outreach events.
