Singing River Health System seeks an Outpatient Coding Specialist (non-exempt) to evaluate records for ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and CPT compliance. You will select diagnoses and principal procedures, abstract data, and query physicians to ensure medical necessity while maintaining HIPAA standards.

Training will be provided to staff as needed. Education includes a high school diploma and coursework in medical terminology and coding; AHIMA/AAPC/NHA certification is preferred or to be completed within one

• Certification by AHIMA, AAPC or NHA preferred or within 1 year of employment.
