Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking an Outpatient Coding Quality Reviewer to ensure accuracy across outpatient records, including Ancillary and ED cases. You will provide expert coding guidance and audit feedback to maintain high-quality coding practices.

The role requires seven years of hospital outpatient coding experience and active certifications (RHIT, RHIA, COC, CCS-P or CCSA). Base pay ranges from $28.24 to $40.21 per hour, with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Active certification(s): RHIT, RHIA, COC, CCS-P or CCSA.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of hospital outpatient coding experience across multiple areas.

Responsibilities

• Review outpatient coded cases for CPT®, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, modifier and APC code accuracy.
• Provide audit feedback and guidance to coding staff and quality reviewers.
• Analyze audit results to identify education and process-improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Quality, Education, Denials, and Coding Operations to resolve issues.
• Stay current on CMS, AHA, AMA guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in a remote environment.
