The role focuses on ensuring compliance with coding guidelines, improving accuracy for reimbursement and quality measures, and developing targeted educational materials for coders and staff.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of outpatient coding experience in a hospital setting.
• Certifications required: RHIT, CCS, CPC, or RHIA.
• Education: high school diploma or GED; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform second-level outpatient coding audits and education in real time.
• Develop focused coding education and training materials to address risk areas.
• Translate audit results into actionable recommendations for policy standardization.
• Collaborate with Quality, Compliance, Revenue Management and providers.
