Job summary

Sigma Technologies, Ltd. is seeking an OSP Field Designer for a role that blends remote work with regular field activities in Little Rock, AR and surrounding areas.

You will support telecommunications projects through field data collection, route verification, drafting, and design, with travel as projects grow. Initial fieldwork focuses on Little Rock and nearby regions, with remote work when not in the field.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of outside plant fiber design or related OSP design experience.
• Experience with field data collection, field walkouts, or field verification for OSP fiber design.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar CAD tools.
• Ability to read engineering schematics, maps, and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform outside plant field walkouts, site surveys, and route verification to collect data.
• Identify and document poles, attachments, and existing infrastructure; assess constraints.
• Capture photos, measurements, GPS data, and notes to support drafting and design.
• Translate field conditions into design inputs and construction-ready packages.
• Execute OSP fiber designs for FTTx, aerial, underground, and joint-use projects.
• Perform 2-D civil drafting and design using CAD tools.
• Collaborate with project teams to complete assigned work.
• Travel to Little Rock, AR area with potential broader project travel.
