Job summary
NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company is seeking an experienced OSP Engineer for a 100% remote contract focused on phasing out legacy TDM equipment and retiring older Telcordia/TIRKS workflows. You will manage multiple projects in a structured 21-step decommissioning process, support OSP electronics, FTTP/TDM retirement, and coordinate with central offices from a remote work environment.
Candidates with strong OSP, TIRKS, Telcordia experience and proficiency in Excel will thrive; NE-based
Qualifications
- Strong Outside Plant (OSP) engineering experience.
- TIRKS experience is required.
- Experience supporting OSP operations and systems.
- Experience working with OSP electronics connected to central offices.
- Experience with TDM switch decommissioning or retirement.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

- 20% Switch Decommissioning / Retirement
- 15% Microsoft Office / Data Analysis
- 10% CAD / MicroStation / GIS
- Analyze OSP equipment and network information
- Work with TIRKS and related systems
- Support TDM switch retirement and associated OSP equipment decommissioning
- Process & Project Management across multiple projects
- Track project activities and ensure documentation is completed
