Job summary

Mountain Ltd. is seeking an OSP BAU Engineer to work remotely with periodic on-site meetings for local agencies in the Martinsburg area and across the eastern part of West Virginia.

The role involves detailed outside plant facility engineering, including estimating, analyzing, fielding, and designing, with data collection, permit packages, and record-keeping responsibilities. Travel within the state is required, and reliable transportation is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NESC guidelines.
• Strong Aerial/Buried/UG OSP engineering or construction background.
• Experience in Make-Ready engineering.
• Ability to review other communication companies’ proposed engineering design and determine if they meet client standards along with NESC standards.
• Frontier/Verizon systems experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency or strong computer skills for remote work.
• Willing to travel within state.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed outside plant engineering tasks including estimating, analyzing, fielding, and designing.
• Prepare permit packages for submittal to appropriate entities and maintain complex files.
• Record keeping, data collection, and posting records as required.
