Job summary

Mountain Ltd. is seeking an OSP Engineer to join our Moscow, ID area team. The role focuses on outside plant facility engineering for copper and fiber networks, including estimating, planning, and budget tracking.

You will prepare and interpret drawings, design loop loss for electronics, and support field-mounted switch planning. Responsibilities include collecting field data, preparing permit packages, maintaining complex files, and ensuring compliance with COE/OSP standards and NESC

Qualifications

  • Identify existing voice/data plant and utilities on site plans and in the field.
  • Relocate facilities and obtain rights of way and easements as required.
  • Capable of engineering COE/OSP work orders, including complex projects.
  • Expert knowledge of COE/OSP principles, work order procedures, standards, and CAD/OSP records.
  • Have own tools: measuring wheel, laptop, pull finder.
  • Experience with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) for engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Estimate, analyze, design, and plan copper and fiber OSP facilities.
  • Prepare loop loss designs for load and repeater electronics.
  • Plan field mounted switch serving areas, and design pole, conduit, and buried facilities.
  • Prepare and track specific job budgets; conduct inspections and quality control.
  • Prepare permit packages and maintain project records.
  • Assist engineers as requested.
